“Dr. Helsted and his staff were kind and considerate of our emergent situation. They understood how important it was to fit in our ailing elderly family dog, Nacho, to relieve his pain and suffering. Kimmy went out of her way to be compassionate and understanding since we had to say goodbye to our beloved furry-friend. Even putting down a soft blanket so Nacho wouldn’t be on the cold metal counter top. Dr. Helsted, kindly called Nacho by his name when he met us all for the first time. Dr. heard us out and helped us realize what we already knew, that we had done all we could for our elderly pup. Never have I felt so supported by a veterinary team like those at Upland Animal Hospital. Although it’s difficult to experience, we are relieved we were able to be there with him, as a family, until his final breath. I can’t say enough good things after enduring such a devastating loss. High praise and recommendations for Kimmy, Dr. Helsted and the team at Upland Animal Hospital. Nacho received 5-star treatment, and we did too. The facility was clean, everyone was professional and kind to pets and owners alike. The service was reasonably priced and we didn’t feel taken advantage of, especially during the pandemic when many hospitals want you to just leave your friend at the door for a very high cost.”

“I wanted to wait to post my review after I had the full experience at upland Animal Hospital. We took our aussie doodle puppy here for her first shots and well visit. Staff was friendly and so was the vet tech. We decided to get her spayed here as well. The price was around $550 but that was because I added extra med s for our pup. She’s a hyper puppy and we didn’t want her to pop any stitches. Now she’s since had her follow-up visit and her last set of shots. This last appointment I mixed up the times and accidentally came WAY early. They actually took her in, took out her stitches, finished her shots even though I was early to the appointment. First round of shots were around $116 and second round was about $66. The staff has always been polite, nice and friendly. Prices seem fair for shots. All in all I’m very satisfied with the service I’ve received here. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Wow!!! My pup Darwin and I have never left a vet office so at ease and relaxed until today. Today We were treated by Dr. Austin she is the newest vet at Upland animal hospital I believe and I cannot stop singing her praises to everyone. My dog is a little nervous and she put them at ease with gentle movements calm voice is getting to know him first and the best part she had me actively participate in his exam to make sure he was comfortable while she manipulated different parts of his joints to check for mobility. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We are moving about 45 minutes away soon but I know without a doubt that I will be coming back to here for all check ups and future needs just for Dr. Austin. She made life long patients of us today Attached is a pic of my little guy right after the appt.. I still am in shock how calm/happy was after On another note he was neutered here a few weeks ago and they went above and beyond and there pricing was more than fair (there was an issue that I wouldn’t not be surprised if another vet would have exploited it). Since they went above and beyond and took special time with him the surgery ended not nearly being as invasive and $400ish less than I was originally quoted by them (and $500 less than another vet) Everyone is amazing here and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my sweet boy.”

“I just want to thank Dr. Helsted and his staff for their compassion and understanding my dog was originally diagnosed with heart murmur by Banfield Hospital. In the past two week his coughing and breathing got worse I tried to make an appointment with no success but excuses on why they cannot see him . I was fortunate to have a friend that recommend Dr. Helsted after calling His office I was able to make an appointment .within one hour. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to my wonderful Little boy.”

“I’ve taken my dog to 3 different hospitals in the course of her 3 year life and she has had the best treatment here at Upland Animal Hospital. They took care of her and everything when she was a puppy and were very helpful to my brother and I who were first time dog owners. Dr. Helsted is very nice and engaging with our dear Yuki and when he’s not there, the other aides/technicians are as thorough with their check ups and just as professional and knowledgeable. Front desk is also very friendly and will help you with all your billing and price questions and are great at keeping records for immunizations. I’m more than happy to make the drive out to Upland to make sure my dog is healthy, and she has been!”

“Been coming to this animal hospital for about 3 years now and I am always so impressed by their service and knowledge with animals. They are very fair in pricing and don’t recommend unneeded services. I have brought my cat here to get rid of fleas/worms and annual vaccines and have not had an issues after she is treated. The staff is always so kind and friendly even when I call with concerns they will try to help resolve the issue. I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who is big on customer service not only with animals but with their owners as well.”

“The staff and the doctor were very caring and compassionate during our difficult time. Our Yorkie had to be put down due to old age and bad health. The doctor gave us all our options. We had to make a very difficult decision but it was clearly the only one. The doctor administered the euthanasia, it was very painless and humane. The staff took care of the cremation. We received our dogs ashes in a beautiful cedar box and his pawprint impression. I highly recommend the doctor and his staff.”
